Yoga, Iyengar Yoga
Yoga is a great philosophy that originated in India. Yoga is a way of practice, not a religion. Through the practice of yoga asanas, you can attain the power to control your body and mind by knowing your body, extending and expanding correctly. While yoga sharpens your alertness by relaxing and aligning your body correctly through the yoga breathing method, yoga will lead you to the state in which your mind is peaceful, the most important state of your mind in your life, enabling you to believe in yourself, eventually lead you to find your true Self.
Yoga may be called "self education" to find and sharpen yourself.
Iyengar yoga is based on Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali, an Indian sage. Ashtanga yoga consists of 8 limbs, which are Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi and Samadhi.
Shri.B.K.S. Iyengar, borne in India, analyzed scientifically old yoga asanas and natural items used for yoga practice in ancient India such as trees, rocks, forests, mountains and rivers. He invented a new method which, based on anatomy and psychology and effective for all people, can be practiced comfortably regardless of ages and conditions. This method is called Iyengar method (Iyengar Yoga).
